Pet Urgent Care
While nobody anticipates a pet becoming ill or hurt, unexpected catastrophes can occur. When your pet needs us most, Pacific Animal Hospital is here to provide urgent care services, regardless of whether your dog or cat has been hurt or is feeling under the weather.
When Is Emergency Care Needed for a Pet
Determining when a pet is ill can be challenging since animals tend to hide signs and symptoms of disease and injury. Often, subtle alterations in appearance or behavior are sufficient indicators of sickness.
Seek immediate veterinarian attention if your pet exhibits any of the following signs or symptoms:
- Appetite loss
- Coughing or sneezing
- Diarrhea or vomiting
- Facial swelling
- Fainting or collapse
- Fever
- Heatstroke or frostbite (hyperthermia or hypothermia)
- Ingested a foreign object
Utilizing Advanced Diagnostics, Receive Same-Day Results
Our veterinarian must ascertain the degree of an injury or the underlying cause of a pet’s disease before administering safe and efficient care. Our patients can choose from a wide range of internal diagnostic services, which allows us to diagnose patients and start treating them immediately. Our chemistry laboratory provides same-day lab test results, and we also have digital X-ray and ultrasound diagnostic imaging capabilities.
